NOTICE OF HEARING

A LOCAL LAW EXTENDING A TEMPORARY LAND USE
MORATORIUM PROHIBITING MINING WITHIN THE TOWN OF KENT

                        PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Kent, New York, on August 17, 2023 amendment to Kent Town Code introducing a local law Extending a Temporary Land Use Moratorium Prohibiting Mining within the Town of Kent.

                        NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Town Board of the Town of Kent, New York will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Amendment at the Town Offices, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent, New York, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the evening of that day at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard.  The Town Board will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Town Clerk.
