Marriage Licenses

Applicants must submit the following three (3) documentation: original birth certificate, social security card and driver's license as well as the original or certified copies of divorce decree, if married previously.

  • Appointments are required. The fee is $40.00 payable by check or cash only.
  • There is a 24-hour waiting period from the time the license is issued until the ceremony can take place and is valid for 60 days.
  • This license may be used within New York State only.
  • New York State Marriage Licenses are issued through the Town Clerk's office. The Clerk is responsible for issuing marriage certificates and recording them with New York State. Also, our Town Clerk is a marriage officer who performs wedding ceremonies.
