NOTICE OF HEARING

PRELIMINARY BUDGET

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Kent for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2022 will be completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk by October 29, 2021, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent, New York where it will be available for inspection by interested persons, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours and on the towns website www.townofkentny.gov.

            FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that the Town Board of Kent will meet to review said Preliminary Budget and hold a public hearing thereon at the Kent Town Hall, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent Lakes, New York, November 4, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. and that at such hearing any persons may be heard for or against any item or items therein.

            Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of certain elected town officers are hereby specified as follows:

                                                                                    Supervisor – $62,500.00

                                                                                   Town Clerk - $66,000.00

                                                                                   Council Persons (4) each – $17,336.00

                                                                                   Town Justice $27,242

                                                                                    Highway Superintendent – $81,196.00

                                                                                    Tax Collector - $38,891.00
