Recreation Commission
The Kent Recreation Commission
meets the last Tuesday of each month (unless it's a holiday) at
a Town meeting facility at 7:00PM. The ideas and suggestions of
the residents are vital to help the Commission develop the most
satisfactory program possible. All meetings are open to the public.

Insurance The Town of Kent does not provide accident insurance for
any of its programs. All persons participate at their own risk and
should make certain they have their own insurance.
Location: Kent Elementary School, Ryan Town Park
and Putnam County Park
Days: Monday thru Friday 9:00AM to 2:00PM
Trips are scheduled for Fridays
One 6 week session: Monday June 29th to Friday August 7th or
Two 3 week sessions: 6/29/09 - 7/17/09 or 7/20/09 - 8/7/09
There will be no Camp on July 3rd
Eligibility: Children residents of the Carmel School District who have completed 2 years of Nursery School and entering Kindergarten thru 14 years of age, who are in good health and able to participate in activities offered in a Camp environment.
Please Note: There will be quotas since a strict ratio of Counselor to Camper has been mandated under State Law.
You cannot register for camp unless you bring immunization records (copy).
It's the law. Registration Deadline is Friday June 5th or when camp fills up
FEES
Rates for the six (6) week session June 29th - August 7th
There will be an additional fee for all trips, special food day and pictures, $90.00
This fee is payable the first week of Camp.
Regular fee includes general Camp programs, films special events, Camp tee shirt.

By Law the Kent Recreation Commission cannot and does not provide medical insurance for participants in its programs.
The Kent Day Camp is approved by the Putnam County Health Department and abides by all codes listed in the NYS Department of Health "Children Camp Codes"
The Camp facilities are inspected twice during the season by the Putnam County Health Department.

Preschool Creative Play Program 2009
ELIGIBILITY – Children up to the age of 5 years
A summer program intended for children up to the age of 5 years. Activities are designed to enhance necessary socialization skills as well as sharing, following direction and other readiness skills all while your child is having fun.
Small group structured activities include creative movement, music, arts and crafts, story time and supervised free play.
Special events are also being planned.
This 3, 4, and 5 year old group will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 30th thru August 6th, from 9:15AM to 11:45AM.
Children must be toilet trained. FEES
The fee is $225.00 for the six week program or $150 for a three week program.
(Either June 30th until July 16th or July 21st until August 6th) Program is open to Carmel School District residents. LOCATION:
