Town of Kent Police Collect Unused Medication

Beginning in May of 2014, The Town of Kent Police began collecting Unused/Unwated medication for the purpose of it being properly disposed of.  Unused medication in the household can be a hazard especially with young children and teens in the residence.  Since it's inception, our program has collected over 185 pounds of unused medication which has been properly disposed of by our evidence technician.  If you have unwanted medication in your residence, please feel free to stop by the Police Department and place the medication in the locked green bin in our lobby.  Please note, we are unable to dispose of needles or liquid medication at this time.
